Whom Are You Seeking?

Matthew ‬ ‭28‬:‭5-6‬ - But the angel answered and said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified. He is not here; for He is risen, as He said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay."

The story of Jesus and His horrific, cruel death grips hearts every year. To think one Man would die for all mankind, even before most were not even born, might be incomprehensible. Yet, He opened not His mouth to do this. How many today can not want to defend themselves when wrongfully accused? This was no ordinary man.

Jesus would say, Why are you weeping? He was risen...from the dead...just like it was told it would happen. This is proof enough for me because "the Bible tells me so." He IS risen.

Today is a day to rejoice. He is alive, His Spirit moves among us. He draws all men to Himself in whatever way is necessary. He calls us. As He was given new life so will He give to you. As He was risen from the dead, so can you. We are all dead to our sin until we come into this new life He offers. Do not harden your heart to His leading. Whom are you seeking?

John‬ ‭20‬:‭15-16‬ - Jesus said to her, “Woman, why are you weeping? Whom are you seeking?” She, supposing Him to be the gardener, said to Him, “Sir, if You have carried Him away, tell me where You have laid Him, and I will take Him away.” Jesus said to her, “Mary!” She turned and said to Him, “Rabboni!” (which is to say, Teacher).
