If You Are Willing

Isaiah‬ ‭1‬:‭19-20‬ - "If you are willing and obedient, you shall eat the good of the land; but if you refuse and rebel, you shall be devoured by the sword”; for the mouth of the LORD has spoken.

If, then.

If we are willing...
We must believe in God. Then we must believe that His Word is inerrant, all truth. We must believe Jesus is God's Son and all that has been prophesied and written are true because it is contained in the Word...and is also the Word made flesh. Not one thing can be disputed in His Word. Which means we must believe what is written above about if we are willing and obedient.

If we are willing and obedient...
It always starts with willingness. We must be willing to believe that Jesus meant what He said about being born again through Him. Eternal life is in Jesus Christ alone. Then if we are obedient to do as His Word states, receive Him, repent, become born again and be baptized as Jesus tells us we must be, then we shall eat of the good land...and partake in the Bread of life.

If we are not willing...
If we are disobedient, rebellious, and not choose Christ, or walk away, we will obtain eternal death. There will be no good land. Those who refuse will be devoured by the sword. As I wrote this I was taken to Revelation where Christ returns to rule and reign. It is by His sword that those will be "devoured"...Now out of His mouth goes a sharp sword, that with it He should strike the nations. And He Himself will rule them with a rod of iron. He Himself treads the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. (‭Revelation‬ ‭19‬:‭15‬) Though this speaks of nations, I believe it means all those who have not been willing to believe in Him. His Word has declared it. His Word is also known as the sword. His Word has shown us what we must do. If we do not, He will execute judgment with the sword. We have been warned to submit to Him. Who did we follow? Who did we believe?

The mouth of the LORD spoke this...many times in many ways.

The truth is in His Word...and His Word became flesh and testified of Himself. And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us an understanding, that we may know Him who is true; and we are in Him who is true, in His Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God and eternal life. (‭1John‬ ‭5‬:‭20‬)

Jesus answered and said to him, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” Nicodemus said to Him, “How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother’s womb and be born?” Jesus answered, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. Do not marvel that I said to you, ‘You must be born again.’"(‭John‬ ‭3‬:‭3-5,7‬)
