And Everything in Between

Luke 2:11-14 -  Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord. This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.”  Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying, “Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests.”

I’m sharing a daily devotion by Oswald Chambers. Our pastor touched on this new birth yesterday at our Christmas Eve morning service. He also touched on the Spirit of God and His influence. Nothing is done, as a friend and I recently discussed, that God hasn’t already been involved in or directed. We have to know that everything must involve Him. Our birth, life, death and everything in between, whether we realize it or not. His hand is in it. Sometimes though our own wills get in the way...

So today is Christmas. The celebration if the birth of Christ. Not that He was born December 25, but that we honor His birth at this time. As Christ was born and entered into life, so too can we all. We are separated from God in this worldly life but Jesus humbly came that we might receive a new life in and through Him.

It is we who must humbly come to Him for our new birth. We must enter into that new life. Believing we are fine in our own selves without Him is a big mistake and misunderstanding.

By God’s Spirit we enter in. This Christmas I pray that the Spirit of the living God would touch all who do not understand this concept and cannot believe it. It’s not just about saying a prayer one time, or repeatedly. It’s not about how good we think we are compared to —.  No single prayer without a heart change accompanying will work. No amount of our works will be the answer.

As He came in the form of a Child, we too must come as little children, removing all the ideas we have accumulated in our time on earth, all the self-taught determinations, misconceptions or lies. We come with an open heart and mind to learn the truth of Who this Man is and what His followers believe. It’s a whole new and different life and it is glorious.

His Birth and Our New Birth

"Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel," which is translated, "God with us."  MATTHEW 1:23

His Birth in History. “…that Holy One who is to be born will be called the Son of God (Luke 1:35). Jesus Christ was born into this world, not from it. He did not emerge out of history; He came into history from the outside. Jesus Christ is not the best human being the human race can boast of—He is a Being for whom the human race can take no credit at all. He is not man becoming God, but God Incarnate—God coming into human flesh from outside it. His life is the highest and the holiest entering through the most humble of doors. Our Lord’s birth was an advent—the appearance of God in human form.

His Birth in Me. “My little children, for whom I labor in birth again until Christ is formed in you…” (Galatians 4:19). Just as our Lord came into human history from outside it, He must also come into me from outside. Have I allowed my personal human life to become a “Bethlehem” for the Son of God? I cannot enter the realm of the kingdom of God unless I am born again from above by a birth totally unlike physical birth. “You must be born again” (John 3:7). This is not a command, but a fact based on the authority of God. The evidence of the new birth is that I yield myself so completely to God that “Christ is formed” in me. And once “Christ is formed” in me, His nature immediately begins to work through me.

God Evident in the Flesh. This is what is made so profoundly possible for you and for me through the redemption of man by Jesus Christ.

Not According to the Flesh

2Corinthians‬ ‭10:3-6‬ ‭- For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, and being ready to punish all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled.

Just as I have learned that we cannot totally rely in any man, nor government, to bring about anything this world is in need of...like peace, provision or safety...we cannot rely on our own knowledge when sharing Christ. It must be Spirit-led, as the scripture states. 

Not according to the flesh...not carnal but mighty in God...bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ. 

In Christ, through the power of the Holy Spirit, in obedience to this Spirit, we are called to preach the Gospel, the good news, of Jesus Christ.

In Christ, we are are told, we are:

*new creatures

*one in spirit with God

*children of light, delivered from darkness

*a holy priesthood 

*ambassadors of Christ

*a people called out of darkness, ready to proclaim His excellence

*the aroma of Christ to God

*are led through Christ to diffuse the fragrance of His knowledge

We will not always be received but we are to be obedient, being the salt and light in a fallen world. Do we look at circumstances of life through our eyes, or political eyes, or through God's eyes? Do we share what is the hope of our calling? 

When we see disasters in this world and people can't understand why they are all happening, do we share we live in a fallen world? Do we 

share that these things were predicted in the Bible? That just maybe we are looking at days when it would be wise to know God before it's too late? This recent shooting in the very small Texas church should be a clue that we never know when our last day will be. Who would have expected this...on a Sunday...in a church...in a very small town?

I share about Christ and the Bible because I know what it means to have been changed on the inside. I'm certainly not perfect and never will be, but I have heard the truth, have experienced a change in my way of thinking and seeing in the world. 

We do not war against the flesh. It's a spiritual war, people. This is what we need to understand. All God has ever wanted from us is acknowledgment of who He is, devotion and obedience to Him. Without these we have no hope for the future and any hope we have in man and his government, policies, laws, are meaningless. Man is not perfect. But God...is! 

Ask Him to reveal Himself to you today. I will ask Him to open the hearts of men to receive this valuable, life-saving knowledge. I will ask Him to show you what the hope is in Him. Just knowing who He is is not enough. Going deeper is the answer. Hearing Him, responding to Him. Being touched by Him. That's where it's at. A relationship...with God...not the church, not rituals...but the Man, Jesus Christ. A life-changing encounter.

Philippians‬ ‭4:13‬ ‭- I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. 

So.Not.Disappointed!

Romans 1:20 - For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse...

I had the privilege of waking up at 4:05 this morning. I love the quiet of early mornings. As I sat in my favorite little room with my coffee and spending time with God, I began to see the skies brighten up. Then came the first chirps...the cardinals. 

This particular morning I heard the song of the wood thrush in the woods that surround our house. I so look forward to hearing their pretty song in the morning and at dusk from spring to late summer. It's so soothing to the ears and spirit, really! 

So I determined to get out for my walk earlier than usual to see the sun come up and reflect on the lake in a nearby park. I.was.so.not.disappointed. 

I felt all morning like I had just emerged from a very tight cocoon. The sights and sounds of nature were tantalizing. It was as if I'd never seen them before. And after my walk, back home in my little room, I was captured by the flurry of birds at my feeders. We have two cardinals, fitly joined together as a couple, who are always the first at the feeders in the morning. They do not disappoint. 

It truly is the first day of return for nearly all the migrating birds for our area. Grosbeak, orioles and indigo bunting arrived. A hummingbird showed up the other day. Still waiting for my favorites, the wrens. 

But you know what all this means to me? In my admiration and excitement I am worshiping Him; I am not worshiping what God has created. I am thanking Him for bringing these to our little part of the world. This is the start of His new season, a new birth, new life in all we see around us. And even more so, all that we see is nothing, absolutely nothing, compared to what is in store for those who love God. It's not the first time I've posted this but...as it is written: “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him.” (1Corinthians 2:9) Perhaps it's a gentle reminder.

He gives us all we need to know of Him. We can look around and see all He has done for us here and now. How can it get much better, we wonder. If we have experienced in ourselves a new season, new birth and life, we will someday know. We see things now through our human senses but as believers in Christ, born of the Spirit, we will some day see all things differently. 

I'm simple-minded! In other words, it's the simplicity of not needing to know what heaven someday will look like. If it's better than what we perceive today, whatever it is will be beautiful because our Lord will be there and He will be the object of our adoration. 

There is only one true God. If we do not recognize this we will be missing out on so very much some day. Do we indulge or over-distract ourselves that we do not take note of the things of God? Do we let the cares of the world shadow the simple beauty of who God is? Do we close our ears, minds and hearts off to the things of God? If we do, we are in serious trouble. 

We can slip from time to time and, thankfully, He will draw us back and pick us up again out of the pit we have fallen...or jumped...into. He loves us this much. He wishes none to perish. 

So.not.disappointed. He gives new chances. He revitalizes senses and souls. He reminds us of His glorious nature...through nature and His Word. Nothing can compare to this knowledge. Nothing. Eye has not seen, nor ear heard.... It's time to take notice.

Jeremiah 5:21-22 - Hear this now, O foolish people, without understanding, who have eyes and see not, and who have ears and hear not: "Do you not fear Me?" says the LORD. "Will you not tremble at My presence, who have placed the sand as the bound of the sea, by a perpetual decree, that it cannot pass beyond it?"...

I Have Given You This Land

Joshua 24:13 - I have given you a land for which you did not labor, and cities which you did not build, and you dwell in them; you eat of the vineyards and olive groves which you did not plant.

A reminder...Only God gives us life, both physically and spiritually.

We live part, sometimes all, of this life not knowing God. In fact, we can even go to church and claim to be Christians but still not know Him. He woos us throughout our lives. He brings others into our lives who might open our eyes, even if we are truly reluctant, as I was for many years, to the real Jesus and the most powerful God the Father.

Like when God allowed Israel to be in captivity for a time in the world, He also chose to lead them out, by His strength, power and miraculous signs (see Exodus!), He does the same with each person who is somehow touched by His truth, His words, His love and forgiveness.

Did I believe I was a sinner? Of course not. I was a good person in my own mind. I was fair, pretty honest, only told little white lies, kinda knew right from wrong...I wasn't any worse than the majority of people, and definitely better than others. Um...that's not good enough. None of us ever can be good enough without Jesus. That's why He came. To die that we might have life. But He didn't just do it so everyone could have this life. Only those willing to give their lives to Him that He might "clean us up."

I knew who Jesus was but didn't need Him to operate in my life. I knew what I was doing, most of the time. Who did others think they were trying to tell me I needed Jesus? What I didn't realize was the definition of knowing Him. It's not an intellectual thing. It comes from the heart. I didn't know that the Bible, the true, inerrant Word of God tells us that we must be born again...not of the flesh, which we already are, but of the Spirit. That can only be done by God to a willing individual. I was far from willing. For a long time. I pushed that concept, and God, away. Not a good thing to do. But what did I know?

But one day things clicked. I know I had very little to do with it. I know now God had been doing something for some time within me to draw me to Him. All it took were a few words from someone to completely drain me of myself. The words she spoke, looking back on them, in a normal state of mind would have seemed preposterous. In fact, the conversation we had was causing me to push God even farther away. I didn't want this conversation. STOP!! Stop trying to push Jesus on me.

But in a moment, when those few words were spoken, tears came to my eyes and little did I realize I was done for! And when I went to church the next morning upon her request, I gave my life to Christ. He ministered to me then and there in an area of my life where I so needed help. Only He could orchestrate something like that. And that's the gist of all this. As the scripture above declares, only God freely gives this life in Christ. We cannot earn it or work for it. All we need to do is receive it.

Like Israel crossing over the Jordan River to the land God had promised them, so Jesus allowed me to cross over from death to my hurts, anger, fears, to life in Christ and peace. He gave me my promised land in Christ. We are all offered this promised land, life in Christ. But we need to cross over. We need to receive Christ's hand and allow Him to guide our daily lives.

This all happened for me April 18, 1999. I'm forever thankful for that day. A friend and I don't celebrate our natural birthdays anymore. We now celebrate our spiritual, supernatural birthdays. We have been granted new life and the hope of eternal life in Christ. We will see Jesus face to face some day. We will walk the streets of gold with Him, although I hope there's grass there too! We will be given the privilege of worshipping our God all the time. There will be no more tears, no more pain, no more sorrow. Forever grateful for the life He has given to those who will receive it.

I know there are those who don't believe any of this. Often it is not preached in churches. I wonder if it's because these churches want things done man's way, not God's, or so as not to offend. I know that there is also some confusion about the concept of being born again. But, people, it's clearly started in the Bible (John 3).

My prayer is that others will recognize this. I pray that God will meet you where you are, in a way only He can touch your life. Today is always a good day to cross over from death in the world, to life in Christ. The Word tells us that some day every knee shall bow and tongue confess that Jesus is Lord. Whether we are born again or not. For some it will be in reverence for God, for others not so much. I'd rather be on the good side, the side of the promised land, the land of milk and honey. The other side offers only the lake of fire.

My words are simple and I often repeat the same thing. It's because there isn't any more I can say. There is only one truth and that is Jesus. No Jesus, no peace. Know Jesus, know peace. He is the only way, truth and life (John 14:6) We cannot go to the Father (God, not a man) without Him. If anyone pushes these truths away, if they are offensive, or even convicting, he does not know the Lord.

1John 2:15-17 - Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—is not of the Father but is of the world. And the world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides forever.

New Beginnings

Genesis 1:1 - In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.

At church yesterday Pastor Terry Fischer preached on In His Presence. A good word. For some reason the last scripture reference caused me to tune out for a bit (sorry, Pastor) and caused me to jot some notes. 

It's always about a beginning. Everything has one. God was our beginning. Our lives are because of His beginning. It all started with God...who created. We were born to meet God. That was the Old Testament. There was a beginning but there also was a temporary end. God stopped speaking through the prophets. 

Then we see a new beginning in the New Testament. 

John 1:1 - In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 

This new beginning would lead to a new birth, new life, even new death in the form of one Man, Jesus Christ. His birth was the promise of a new eternal life. God made flesh. A holy God come down from heaven to live among sinful men. The same God who created all things now would come to redeem fallen man...if they would believe and receive Him. God was not dead, just remaining silent for awhile. Perhaps it was to set the stage for those rebellious people, bent on turning away from Him. In the New Testament His plan was resuming. 

I think about the Old Testament and how God could only reveal Himself through certain people. Through their voices, their writings...because at one point in Old Testament history they opted not to hear God's voice because it was too frightening. (And I think back to Adam and Eve who walked with Him and communed with Him.) How things changed.

Now He came to reveal Himself again, to spread the good news, the Gospel, of what He could do, what He has always wanted. He came in the flesh to personally speak to the people. He came to prove He was God that man's eyes, ears and hearts would be open to receive Him. We are born to this world to meet God. We are reborn in the Spirit when we meet Jesus. 

He was the beginning in creation, the beginning as the Word. He will be the very last also at His return. 

What an amazing history that continues day by day...that the story of this one Man would still continue, will never be forgotten, will never die and will continue to bring new life to any who will submit to calling Him their Lord and Savior. Praise His name. 

This is why I write. His Gospel is good news. Oh He has His words of judgment. That is to humble us, to see how fallen we truly are and to show just what He can do. He is good news to those will allow His words to pierce ears, eyes and heart. He who was in the beginning. The beginning and the eventual end. The same yesterday, today and forever. Fullness of joy in those who receive. 

Oh, the testimonies of those who follow You. Let those words sink deep into hearts, minds, souls of those perishing for lack of knowledge. Amen! Thank You for staying true to Your Word and the years of testimony.

1John 1:1-4 - That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, concerning the Word of life— the life was manifested, and we have seen, and bear witness, and declare to you that eternal life which was with the Father and was manifested to us— that which we have seen and heard we 

declare to you, that you also may have fellowship with us; and truly our 

fellowship is with the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ. And these things we write to you that your joy may be full. 

So There Was Division

John 7:35-43

Then the Jews said among themselves, "Where does He intend to go that we shall not find Him? Does He intend to go to the Dispersion among the Greeks and teach the Greeks? What is this thing that He said, "You will seek Me and not find Me, and where I am you cannot come?"

On the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, "If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink. He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water." But He spoke concerning the Spirit, whom those believing in Him would receive; for the Holy Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus was not yet glorified. 

Therefore many from the crowd, when they heard this saying, said, "Truly this is the Prophet." Others said, "This is the Christ." But some said, "Will the Christ come out of Galilee? Has not the Scripture said that the Christ comes from the seed of David and from the town of Bethlehem, where David was?"

So there was division among the people because of Him. 


Not many verses but full of truth...that divides.

There still were a lot of questions about this Man who claimed to be the Son of God. Oh, the words He spoke. Words difficult to understand. Words which are still difficult for some to understand.

If Jesus stood before us in the flesh today knowing all we know about Him, with all the controversy and offense He stirs up, would there still be doubt, questions? There is a day coming where He will return. It is said that every knee will bow and tongue confess Him then. But this will be either voluntary or involuntary. I prefer to voluntarily bow. I bow before Him today...

Listen to this, Jesus cried out! He cried out then and He cries out now. The love He has for all mankind is enormous, greater than we can imagine. He cries out that people would hear and receive what He has to offer, eternal life...living water, bread of life, His Spirit...His Spirit...that will live in us when we give ourselves to Him. Bread and water that will no longer cause us to hunger or thirst because we have all we need in Him.

He cries out because He knows what happens if we do not...eternal death. He died that all could receive this eternal life if we first call on the name of the Lord to be saved, if we humble ourselves as He humbled Himself. The Son of God, God Himself, died for us. How much more humility do we need? And what does He ask of us? That we become new creatures, letting the old man go (die to selves) and let the new man emerge, through Him. A new spiritual birth. We become part of those through the ages who have received, who are separated unto Him, who receive His righteousness and the good things He has to offer.

Like above, some will believe and some will remain skeptical. We so desire to fawn over Hollywood actors, sports figures, politicians, activists, musicians, ourselves, yet reject Christ. It makes no sense. So there was division among the people because of Him. He still divides. He has so much more to offer.

...I will take you from among the nations, gather you out of all countries, and bring you into your own land. Then I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you shall be clean; I will cleanse you from all your filthiness and from all your idols. I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. Then you shall dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers; you shall be My people, and I will be your God. I will deliver you from all your uncleannesses. I will call for the grain and multiply it, and bring no famine upon you. And I will multiply the fruit of your trees and the increase of your fields, so that you need never again bear the reproach of famine among the nations. (Ezekiel 36:24-26, 28-30)

Preparing the Way

Mark 1:1-3 - The beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God. As it is written in the Prophets: “Behold, I send My messenger before Your face, who will prepare Your way before You.” “The voice of one crying in the wilderness: ‘Prepare the way of the Lord; make His paths straight.’” 

John the Baptist prepared the way for Jesus; made His paths straight. We call Jesus the Way and rightfully so. He is the Way. And the path to Him is also straight, direct and He will make our paths straight.

While this is a time to celebrate His birth, we must remember that He became the Way to the Father by way of the humiliating cross. The Mediator between God and man...the Way. Picture the cross spanning a chasm.  God is on one side, we on the other. The crossbeam where He was hung is the only means of getting from one side to the other. The Way.

The preparation for Christ was accounted in the Book of Mark. Mark wrote about John the Baptist who was Jesus' cousin, just a few months older than He. He was born that he would, by faith, prepare the way for the coming of the Way.

People around the world do the same. It shouldn't be any different. Everyone needs to be prepared for the way to Christ. We are messengers of today, voices crying in the wilderness of others' lives that there is a way, not just for the birth we celebrate at this time of year, but a new birth in your life.

Prepare the way of the Lord this Christmas. Prepare as you would for this day on earth only prepare your heart along with that. Look not at Christmas in the usual way. Seek it with the idea of Jesus in your heart. Prepare yourself for straighter paths. Let the season of his birth be a season with a new birth in your life.

Give Ear, O My People

Psalm 78:1-4 - Give ear, O my people, to my law; incline your ears to the words of my mouth. I will open my mouth in a parable; I will utter dark sayings of old, which we have heard and known, and our fathers have told us. We will not hide them from their children, telling to the generation to come the praises of the Lord, and His strength and His wonderful works that He has done.

Children of God. People of God. His peculiar people. A chosen generation. A holy priesthood. His inheritance. Saint of God. New creature. God's workmanship. Citizen of heaven. Chosen of God.

How is it we had not heard at an early age? Where were the people? Where was the Church? How is it there are so many differing opinions on the idea of salvation and what the Bible proclaims? Why isn't there just one heart, one mind and one God?

And yet, somehow, the message was passed on. Somehow on one day God presented to many His Son Jesus for the very intent of saving yet another soul. The message was spoken, it was heard, it was taken in, it changed one more person, then another and another. Why not more? God knew long ago that the road would be narrow and few would follow it. And that's just the way it is.

Yet He has given so many a chance to receive that Word, the sayings of old, the message that never quits and never changes.  Now we must take that same word and message and perpetuate it. Teach it to not only those around us but the next generation. Teach the parables and the laws. Teach them Jesus. Teach them that in Him is life an no other life is as great at what He has to offer.

Teach them creation, in it's truth. Teach them all God has done for His people, of which some are now included as. Teach that He saved and healed, that He was with them through thick and thin, as long as they were obedient to Him, that He is with us through thick and thin, as long as we are obedient to Him. Like a (good) father to a child...that's what He is. Not all of us have experienced a good and loving father. But He is there to be the replacement, the One who will love unconditionally.

Remind that when stubbornness and rebellion are present in a life or a country or a world, judgment will come. God will not leave His people but our desires can often lead us to leave Him. His love is unconditional; our has conditions, generally focused on self.

Remember all He did for past generations. He longs to do this for us. He parted seas that Israel might cross on dry ground. He longs to part the seas in our lives that we might cross over to a better life...leave the oppressed lives we don't even realize we have for a real life, a fulfilling life. He longs to protect us from our enemies. He longs to provide for us. All He has can be ours if we only submit to Him.

God's anger will be provoked soon enough. He will not let us live as we are much longer if His name is sullied, mocked, ignored, spat upon or blasphemed much more. Hard words? Look around.

As His anger against His people was before, it will happen again. But God...is merciful to those who seek Him. His love is everlasting to those who heed Him. He asks us to seek Him while He can still be sought, before His wrath is so great and the doors close forever to His kingdom...like the doors on the ark...and the people who scoffed perished without. His story has a perfect ending for those willing to submit and serve Him...something the pride of the world has a hard time accepting.

Yes, a perfect ending.

Revelation 17,14 - And the Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” And let him who hears say, “Come!” And let him who thirsts come. Whoever desires, let him take the water of life freely. Blessed are those who do His commandments, that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter through the gates into the city.

All Things Are New

Revelation 21:5 - Then He who sat on the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And He said to me, Write, for these words are true.

There's always a sense of encouragement, excitement and hope when a new year begins. As I awoke this morning to a chorus of "happy new year" by the nearby roosters in Puerto Rico, I thanked God for a new year. I thanked Him for an encouraging word for our church and for those who call our church their home. 

Christmas celebrations are over and in the wake of those festivities we have new things to put on or put away. I was told that at the candlelight service an offer to receive Christ touched the hearts of about ten people. Their lives were made new as well. Hopefully this new year they will choose to put on and not put away their new life in Christ.

There have been claims that December 21, 2012 could be the end of the world if the Mayan calendar is correct. There is an eerie similarity between the meaning of the word apocalypse and something we read when Jesus dies on the cross. An apocalypse is a lifting of the veil or revelation! When Jesus died the curtain in the Temple was torn in two from top to bottom. The veil had been lifted giving man access once again to God, through the death of His Son, Jesus. 

It sounds more like a beginning to me. Some scientists believe the world won't end but instead it will take a different course...a new one, a new course filled with peace, wisdom, love and understanding. Isn't that what Jesus has been trying to say for more than 2,000 years? 

Put on the new man and a new life, in Him. Don't put it away. It would be the greatest and most satisfying new life one could ever hope for. And each new day is filled with the same hope. A hope that never changes because if our hope is in Jesus, we have hope in One who never changes!

We will go through some difficult days ahead. Jesus will return. Those who are in Christ know this. We have peace already in a world of turmoil. We have our hope too, that He will return for those whom He calls His own. The world will not end but it will change in a twinkling of an eye and the loud sound of a trumpet.

For those who cling to Him now, who have found their new life, this will be a glorious day. We understand what today's life events are leading up to. We already have the peace, wisdom, understanding and love. 

Jesus does make all things new. It's a new year. Start the new year out with a new life in Christ. Receive Him and have the hope, the revelation, of this life in Him. Let this truly be a Happy New Year!
