All I want is to know the truth. The world can lie, but there is One whose words are always true and just. Jesus or the world? It’s a choice we have to make.
Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.”
Then Jesus said to them, “When you lift up the Son of Man, then you will know that I am He, and that I do nothing of Myself; but as My Father taught Me, I speak these things.”
Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” (John 8:12,28,31-32)
Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things. (Philippians 4:8)

As I was walking this same morning I continued thinking about what I posted on Facebook above. While all the stuff that upsets, angers, frustrates will continue to happen in the world, some will keep eyes focused on things above.
...while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal. (2Corinthians 4:18)
If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God. Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth. For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. (Colossians 3:1-3)
This is what is called faith...in what we cannot see. It’s trusting God. It’s knowing that He knows all things and His ways, no matter in whatever situation, personal, political, world situations, wars, will always be greater than yours or mine. That’s real power. God does not nor cannot lie. We will never in our lifetime understand His ways. But He works all things out for good, for those who love Him? He might be putting you in a situation for that very reason...that you might look to HIM. He has a master plan for this world. Will you trust Him or trust yourself, or someone else, or a faulty government? Those who love Him can trust in His goodness. He is all-powerful.
If things are unsettled (or will be someday), perhaps He’s got His eyes set on you. If you’re in a
situation, if it is for no other reason but for Him to see one soul saved out of this world and out of their sin, it will have been worth it. Perhaps He’s got His eye set on you....
